Woke up early again this morning in Sedona and went to breakfast at The Coffee Pot (great place, especially if you like omelettes because they have 101 of em on the menu). Afterwards, we checked out of our hotel and made our way to the Palatki Heritage Site, a super cool area that has cliff dwellings as well as petroglyphs. We’ve been trying for a couple years to get out there, but you need reservations. And last time we were in Sedona it was closed due to covid. But this time we made reservations ahead of time (only a day before). The drive from the main road, just outside of Sedona, is only 6 miles, but it’s a dirt road and takes about 30 minutes. But we didn’t mind going slow because it’s such beautiful country you’re driving through! We spent a couple hours at the site, soaking it all in and taking lots of pictures. The guides and docents there are super friendly and full of history and knowledge. Once we were done, we headed back out to the main road and made our way towards Prescott to visit with family and stay there for the night. Another fun day full of history and dirt roads!
