Well I forgot to turn off my alarm. But that didn’t matter because I woke up 40 minutes BEFORE my alarm went off! Oh well. No matter. Just meant we got a nice early start to the day. I love watching the sun come up…. especially in the desert. So beautiful. We left Vegas and made our way to St. George UT for breakfast, then headed towards Zion National Park. Stopped at a cool brand new resort (the Wildflower Zion Resort) where they have covered wagons you can rent (in addition to other lodging choices). The place was super cool and we wanna go back with our kids and grandkids sometime. We left there and 15 min later we were in the park. Got to see a herd of buffalo today which was fun. Zion isn’t something you can explain through words or pictures though…. I try, but you need to experience it in person. I took a million pictures, but then we spent some quiet time just soaking it in. No camera, no phone…. Just fresh air and rocks and scenery that leaves no doubt in my mind that there is a higher being who created it all. Hopefully everyone gets a chance to experience Zion at least once in their lifetime. After watching the sun go down we had an excellent steak dinner and headed to our room. Another successful day on the road!
