Road Trip Day 2 - Got our kicks!

So I forgot to turn off my alarm, so I was up bright and early! So much for sleepin in…. Oh well. We hit the road early which is fine and suits us well anyway. More 2 lanes roads today, one of which was Routs 66. Such a great road! It took us through Oatman AZ where donkeys roam the streets and shops full of souvenirs were calling my name! Visited the shores of Lake Havasu and the London Bridge…. a bridge that used to span the River Thames in London but bricks were brought over and used to build the bridge in AZ in 1971. Ended up in Las Vegas; checked into our hotel and had a great dinner at the Magnolia Room at The Four Queens (their prime rib French dip is the best I’ve ever had!!). After dinner we visited the Neon Museum, which is something I’ve been wanting to do for years. And it was well worth the price of admission! I recommend doing it at night though so you can see the signs lit up like we did. Our guide was great and gave a great history lesson, both of Las Vegas as well as many of the signs. Was a great day and now I’m ready for bed! Good thing we’re not light sleepers cuz the music from Fremont Street goes well into the morning. :)
